The lineup so far
Only the first wave has been announced. The organiser plans five reveal waves, with more names due through November 2026.
- Wizkid, opening concert, 18 December, 6 p.m. Lagos time
- Detty Drummers, 19 December
- Aerial Ballerinas, 24 December
- Lagos Strings (live orchestra), 25 December
How much should you budget?
The ticket is only part of the cost. The Guardian has reported Lagos hotel rates averaging about ₦120,000 (about US$90) a night, and Lagos Island traffic in late December is heavy, so trips take much longer than the distance suggests. If you are travelling home, our guides on Detty December events in Lagos and diaspora homecoming costs, crowds and safety will help you plan the rest.
Tips before you buy
- Buy only through the official DOT TIX platform and avoid resellers on social media.
- Confirm the final date range before booking flights, because the two published ranges differ by a day.
- Wait for the full lineup if you are choosing between nights, since four announced dates are still blank.
- Allow extra travel time to Lagos Island on any night you plan to attend.
