Why It Matters
Events like this help Yoruba families in the UK pass language, music, food and dress to the next generation. Another Yoruba culture celebration in London is also coming up; see Igbadun Lo Ku 2026. For more on how the culture travels, read the Yoruba diaspora and our earlier guide to Yoruba events in London this October.
What to Wear and Learn
Many guests wear traditional outfits; see Yoruba traditional attire. A few greetings from our Yoruba greetings guide will help you join in, and children can practise with Yoruba numbers.
